Treasure unearthed across
Norfolk
A silver brooch, a hoard of
13th-century pennies and an Anglo-Saxon pendant made from
a gold Roman coin were among the treasure found in Norfolk
over the last 18 months.
A series of 14 treasure
trove inquests held in Norwich saw fashionable trinkets, tools
and coins, ranging from 400 to 2,000 years old, that have
been discovered in the county classed as treasure.
All the items were uncovered
by amateur enthusiasts using metal detectors to see what they
could find in fields and woods around Norfolk.
